24-25 Tentative Agreement Reached!
The Professional Council is pleased to share an outline, linked under the Bargaining tab, of the 2024-25 Tentative Agreement reached between Olathe NEA and Olathe Public Schools. Our work this year has been centered on the retention of our current staff as well as recruitment of future educators as we all know retaining and recruiting high quality staff improves student learning.
Highlights from the tentative agreement include a move to a Paid Time Off model for Leave, no increase (6th year in a row) of health insurance premiums, revisions to the Elementary, Middle School and High School Scheduling documents, along with a substantial financial investment in the retention and recruitment of certified staff:

- An in-person bargaining unit information session will be held on Monday, May 13, from 4:30-5:30 p.m. at the Technology Center. Members of the Olathe NEA bargaining team will be present to provide additional details and answer questions. Those attending can come and go during that time frame as the information will be repeated.

- Monday, May 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, May 15, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
