At this point, the Olathe Bargaining unit and Board of Education have approved an MOU allowing Professional Council to make adjustments to the 19-20 Negotiated Agreement in response to school closures. Since this approval, Professional Council has released two additional MOUs: one about expectations (hours, PLCs, staff/faculty meetings, appraisals, etc.) and one about professional development. Access these MOUs, and any additional MOUs here. Olathe NEA promotes the use of NEA Microcredentials for individual professional development and/or for use in PLCs.

As we continue to navigate continuous learning, KSDE has released two guidance documents that may be helpful to educations. This guidance addresses best practices in using Zoom. This guidance focuses on special education issues. We expect a guidance on equity to come out soon.
